My boyfriend and I recently went to the Continental for dinner, (despite the pictures you’re about to see that clearly state Buddakan). The Continental is one of those places that can swing either way: as casual as they come or Bachelorette style in skimpy dresses and stilettos. By the way I don’t recommend either of those looks which is why I opted for a sorta, kinda casual dinner date outfit. I wore my usual knee rip jeans and black mules with an oh-so-fancy $5 oversized knit, (yes only $5!), and structured bag.
Ok so can we just talk about what a steal the shirt is?! Literally, a next to nothing, $5 steal. I was shocked and extremely proud of myself for finding such a thing. H&M has amazing sales. Nothing beats their sales. Once I got a faux fur jacket that was originally $80, for $20. I live for the seasonal sales there. It’s like thrifting but new.
These mules continually remind me how shopping smarter is the way to go. My rule of thumb for anything I buy now is comfort + style and must be able to be worn at least 3 different ways. Pretty sure I’ve worn these mules way more than 3 ways, (see here, here, here, here).

What’s your dinner date go-to for a somewhat casual vibe?
