Victoria Van Ness started as as part of Bloglovin’s community team and became an Instastar virtually overnight. She has since gained 15K followers and writes for the Bloglovin’ blog. When I met Bloglovin’s founder a few months ago, I learned how his clothing has played a crucial part in his success and clearly Victoria is following in his footsteps. Seeing as not long ago she graduated high school her accomplishments are amazing for someone her age and more and more young digital stars are emerging – another reason why I stress getting on Musical.ly… and following me of course (@notanotherblonde). Q: How/why did you get into blogging?
I got into blogging while I was traveling to give myself a creative outlet… something I could call my own. I was changing cities a lot, so I wanted to give my extra time to something consistent.
Q: What’s the most important aspect of what you do?
I think social media! Engaging with my readers and building quality relationships with brands and other bloggers is at the core of what I do and how I want to continue my career.

Q: How do you set yourself apart in a market that can be perceived as saturated?
I kind of just have tunnel vision. I just focus on myself, what I like to produce, and what works for my blog and what my readers respond positively to. Once it stops becoming fun, it’s not for me.
Q: What is the best advice you’ve ever gotten?
Focus on myself, cheer on others, and the good will come back around. 🙂
Q: What has been your biggest mistake regarding your work?
I think one thing that I really struggle with is making shooting for my blog more complicated than it should be, haha! I still walk around and have to scout a location for at least 20 minutes.
Q: What would you tell someone who’s just starting out in the digital world?
Focus 110% on creating quality content that’s your own and be true to yourself!
Q: Where do you see blogging headed in the future?
I hope I just continue to grow! I would love to be able to start traveling again while I work on my blog full-time.
