Crop tops have been circulating for years. First it was the off the shoulder, 80s vibes crop and now we’re on to form fitting crop tops that look like they belong to your little sister… but don’t panic! I have found a way to make crop tops look age appropriate and super classy.
- Never let your belly button show, and if you do make it so subtle you barely notice it
- Only a sliver of skin should be showing, preferably above your belly button
- High-waisted skirts and pants are perfect contenders
- Buy your actual size, maybe even a size up! (It is so unflattering when girls rock a crop top and their muffin tops are hanging out)
- Stay uniform – the matching crop top and skirt combo is one to reckon with
- If you think you’re showing too much, odds are you’re right so cover it up like I did (a blazer, trench, or duster will do the trick)
I stuck to the boyfriend jean theme too so you have another outfit inspiration to add to yesterday’s look. The boyfriend jean gives the look that effortless “undone” look which I love. These mules are definitely my new favorite show. They’re so easy and comfortable and go with just about everything. And remember my whole thing on buying smarter? Well I’ve used this bag in all my outfits this week because it’s so universal and a timeless piece that will be around for a long time.

What’s your take on crop tops? Do or don’t?
