It’s hard enough deciding what to do on Valentine’s Day let alone deciding on what to wear. So I’ve narrowed my Valentine’s Day options down to 6 scenarios, (a huge improvement from the 200 I had earlier). Valentine’s Day is a girl’s holiday so the man should do ALL the planning, and I mean all. Don’t sell yourself short ladies! Even if you’re single and hangin’ with the girls, these outfit choices are great for that, too.
By the way, I have no idea what Patricio has planned so I need to have at least 6 options, we could be going rock climbing for all I know, (fingers crossed that’s not the case).
for the lazy girl
(^Most likely will be the case for me.)
The lazy girl is having dinner at home with her manfriend, no frills, but maybe a glass of wine. She doesn’t want to look like a total bum because, after all, it is Valentine’s Day aka the most romantic day of the year, but she also doesn’t feel like going all out. The lazy girl outfit is perfect for the over 25 crowd who consider themselves grandmas.
for the girl who loves Annie Hall
Ok, this girl is literally and figuratively me. I LOVE Annie Hall. If you haven’t seen the movie, I highly recommend it, if for nothing else than the fashion… it’s so good. Anyway, if you haven’t seen the movie, Annie Hall is a dorky but ultra cool girl with an androgynous style played by Diane Keaton. As far as my obsession with becoming Annie Hall goes, so far the only thing we have in common is this coat. ::sad face:
for the fun girl
This outfit is for the “fun girl” who is “down for whatever”, (total opposite of me). She’s excited for whatever her boyfriend has planned and can’t wait to prance around the town grinning ear to ear. From the faux fur jacket to the pompom sneakers, this outfit is just fun, isn’t it? I actually really love this outfit despite being so OCD and a non-risk taker.
for the girl on her period
I was torn between calling this look the “girl on her period” or “zenon – girl of the 21st century” because of the intergalactic boots and coated jeans, but I ended up going for the former. Anyway, the white jacket may be a contradiction for the girl on her period but other than that, the outfit is all black which is the only color to wear on your period. Not to mention, the top is super loose so it’ll hide your time-of-the-month-bloat and food baby. You can never go wrong with an all black look no matter what time of the month it is.
for the #girlboss
I love a good white button down and I assume so does any #girlboss hence the name of this outfit. This look is very from-office-to-happy-hour, but it’s also something that should be worn totally outside of work as well. The jeans dress it down so it’s not too corporate and the boots keep the outfit from looking boring.
The #girlboss would most likely spend her Valentine’s Day in some swanky midtown NYC restaurant.
for the girl stuck in the 60’s
From the leopard, to the bell sleeve detail (that you can’t see), to the white boots and girlfriend jeans, this look screams 60s and I absolutely love everything about it. This would be an outfit to wear to a cool, hipster restaurant in some downtown area. Maybe you go to a hookah bar afterwards?
The girl who should’ve been born in the 60s isn’t doing anything crazy for Valentine’s Day because the outfit is too good to get sloppy in. I mean, you can’t ruin those white boots.
What girl will you be on Valentine’s Day? I’m going with the lazy girl, but we’ll see. Follow along on Snapchat (un: notanothrblonde)!
