I’ve never really been one to make a huge deal out of Valentine’s Day… I just feel it’s overrated and there’s so much pressure, ya know? You get your hopes up, then you’re disappointed, then you house an entire box of chocolates, then you’re even more disappointed… It’s a vicious cycle.
But that’s just me! So if you’re like me and don’t actually do anything on V-Day, you can still talk about it in your content because it is a gold mine of an opportunity for all content creators.
Yes, gold mine. Here’s why:
For every 1 person who feels such distain for Valentine’s Day as I do, there are like 3 other people who love it and ball out. So the odds are in your favor as an influencer no matter how you feel.
Some of you might be thinking, ‘Well that’s great but how do I actually capitalize on it? I’m a ::insert your niche here:: blogger not a relationship blogger…’, which is why I created not 1, but 6 content ideas for every type of blogger. So let’s get into it…
Valentine’s Day content for travel bloggers
This niche might have the most possibilities. Content ideas like The Most Romantic Restaurants for Valentine’s Day, 5 Day Trips to Take on Valentine’s Day, 3 Romantic Getaways for Valentine’s Day, Where to Go in NYC for Valentine’s Day… the list goes on!
Even if you’re a blogger with a demographic that is predominantly male or female, these blog post ideas are a great way for any audience to drop hints to their significant others so now you’ve just expanded your audience. For example, a little DM action: “In case you want idea for what I want to do on Valentine’s Day” and now your content has become shareable.
Valentine’s Day content for beauty bloggers
This one might not be super obvious but once you get the ball rolling you’ll be on a Valentine’s Day content creating bender! Make Up Looks He’ll Love for Valentine’s Day, V Day Edition Skincare Routine for Extra Glow, How to Get Clear Skin for Valentine’s Day, Top 10 Lipsticks for Valentine’s Day, 3 Easy Valentine’s Day Hairstyles, Romantic Eye Makeup for Valentine’s Day are just a few examples to get you started.
Valentine’s Day content for fashion bloggers
I personally think coming up with content ideas as a fashion blogger is the easiest out of the group but probably because I am one, but if you’re experiencing “blogger’s block”, here you go: 5 Effortless Valentine’s Day Looks, Valentine’s Day Lingerie He’ll Love, 10 Perfect Shoes for Valentine’s Day, 7 Valentine’s Day Dresses that Aren’t Red or Pink, Pretty in Pink Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas, 3 Galentine’s Day Looks I Love, Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Him, Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for Her, 10 Fire Sales Happening on Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day content for food bloggers
Whether you’re going out to eat or you want to cook at home, food bloggers have a major opportunity to boost their SEO around Valentine’s Day. Content like Easy 3-Course Valentine’s Day Dinner, 5 Vegan Restaurants to Try on Valentine’s Day, My Favorite Dessert to Make to Valentine’s Day, My Secret Valentine’s Day Salad You’ll Love, How to Fall in Love with Veggies on Valentine’s Day, The Most Delicious Red Velvet Valentine’s Day Cupcakes, and 10 Quick Recipes for Valentine’s Day will definitely get you clicks and conversions.
Valentine’s Day content for fitness bloggers
The beauty about being a fitness blogger during Valentine’s Day is that February is still the beginning of the year so people are still on their “new year, new me” kick which works in your favor. So you could share content like 30-Minute Couple’s Workout, Top 5 Most Romantic Hikes in LA, 8 Ways to Sweat with Your Partner on Valentine’s Day, Easy At Home Workout to Try for Valentine’s Day, or 45-Minute V Day Sweat Circuit which would help keep the momentum going of your audience’s fitness journey.
Valentine’s Day content for mommy bloggers
This is definitely a foreign concept to me as I’m no mommy blogger, BUT I was a teacher so I feel like I’ve got some good ones for this. 5 Unique Ways to Reveal Your Pregnancy on Valentine’s Day, 5 Valentine’s Day Craft Ideas Your Kids Will Love, I Decorated My Daughter’s Bedroom for Valentine’s Day!, Creative Lunch Ideas for Kids on Valentine’s Day, Kid Friendly Valentine’s Day Date Ideas, Valentine’s Day Slime Recipe, Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas for Supermom, Gluten-Free Valentine’s Day Candy for Kids, Valentine Card Ideas for Your Child’s School, and What to Get Mom for Valentine’s Day are some of my faves!
Valentine’s Day content for home decor bloggers
I feel like as a home decor blogger, you’re a little limited in terms of Valentine’s Day content but you can still bring value to your audience with posts like How to Decorate a Table for Valentine’s Day, 5 Sophisticated Table Settings for Valentine’s Day, 10 Subtle Valentine’s Day Decorations, The Best Stores to Find Valentine’s Day Decor, How to Decorate Your Home for Valentine’s Day, and Top 5 Most Romantic Smelling Candles for Valentine’s Day.
Lastly, I want to mention with every single Valentine’s Day post you create either on social media or your blog, you want to make it shoppable. So for beauty bloggers, be sure you’re linking every product you use. Fashion bloggers should be linking their outfits and alternative pieces at different price points. The same goes for home decor influencers, fitness influencers, etc. Otherwise your Valentine’s Day gold mine will turn into a fools gold mine…
